  15. 1. What is Adr_Book?

  18.   Adr_Html is an address book program specifically designed to enhance
  19.   personal communications on the Internet. The interface program is a
  20.   graphical address book program which runs on Microsoft Windows and is
  21.   compatible with Windows 95. Rather than producing labels and envelopes
  22.   as a standard address book program does, Adr_Html produces customizable
  23.   Html pages for each or your records.

  26. 2. Quick Start.
  27. ---------------

  29.  If you are like me, then about five minutes is all you will give a
  30.  program to see if it is useful. Follow this quick start and it should
  31.  get you there in five minutes. 
  32.  
  33.  There is a sample database file provided named DEMO.HDR. This file
  34.  should automatically be loaded the first time you execute Adr_Html.
  35.  Now do the following:
  36.  
  37.    a. Select from the FILE menu the 'Write Html Frame Col Style...'
  38.    b. A dialog box will appear. There are options here for modifying your 
  39.       html pages. For now, ignore all options and simply click on
  40.       'Write Files...'.
  41.    c. In the File write dialog double click on 'pages' to locate yourself
  42.       in that directory.
  43.    d. Click OK. You will get a help dialog that says that you need to
  44.       open the file FRAMECOL.HTM with your browser. Your browser needs
  45.       to be Netscape 2.0 or later. Click OK.
  46.    e. Now fire up Netscape.
  47.    f. From the File menu of Netscape select Open File....
  48.    g. Locate FRAMECOL.HTM which most likely will be found in
  49.       c:\adhtml10\pages\framecol.htm

  51.  And after doing this if things don't look nice to you, then I didn't do my
  52.  job very well.
  53.  
  54.  One hint.  You can put any email address and URL in the notes field and it
  55.             will automatically become a clickable link. For the email to
  56.             work properly you will need to have the Email preferences of 
  57.             Netscape configured.

  60. 3. INSTALLATION
  61. ----------------

  63.   To perform the installation insert the floppy in drive A or B and run
  64.   INSTALL.EXE from Windows Program Manager.  For Windows 95 run Add/Remove
  65.   Programs from the Control Panel.

  67.   If all of the files are currently on your hard drive you can still 
  68.   install the program by running the INSTALL.EXE from Windows. This
  69.   also works for Windows 95.

  85. 5. Why Register?

  88.   The shareware version of Adr_Html is limit to only 25 records in a single
  89.   database file.  The registered version removes this limitation. A
  90.   registered version can hold 5000 records in an indiviual database file.

  92.   You will be entitled to one year of free upgrades.

  94.   You will feel better. (maybe) Actually, I really believe this is true.

  102.      Send $23.00 plus $2.00 shipping and handling ($5 for international

  110.      Email. This is my favorite method of registration. By this method I
  111.      will simply email you the latest registered version. This has a couple
  112.      of advantages. First there is no shipping and handling cost. The entire
  113.      cost to you is $23.  Second, I am assured that you have received the
  114.      product. (I am always concerned about the postal mail. You send a
  115.      check, I send a disk, I cash the check, you don't receive the disk. Yuck!)

  120.      You can also order using VISA and Mastercard. Just be sure to include
  121.      the card number, the name as written on the card, and the expiration date.
